Wheelchair-accessible taxis in London

Every licensed London black cab is wheelchair accessible. How to book one and make sure your driver brings the ramp into play.

Every black cab is accessible

Licensed London taxis must be wheelchair accessible, so every black cab carries a ramp. You don't need to find a special service or pay more.

Telling your driver

When you book with London Cabbies, tick Ramp needed. Your driver sees it on the job before accepting, so they're ready when they arrive.

If you always need the ramp, turn on “I always need the ramp” in Profile and settings, and it's ticked on every booking.

Booking ahead

For hospital appointments, flights and anything you can't be late for, book ahead: choose Later, pick your time, and a driver is confirmed half an hour before pickup. If they can't make it, we send the nearest free cab instead.
